What is checked

p = .000 is never correct: report p < .001. Values below .001, including scientific notation, are reported the same way.
No leading zero for p (.03, not 0.03), because p cannot exceed 1.
A lowercase p, a space on each side of the operator, and the symbols ≤ and ≥.
Exact p to two or three decimals; thresholds such as p < .05 are noted because APA prefers exact values when available.

APA italicises the letter p; plain text cannot show that, so italicise it in your manuscript.
